Froth Flotation Beneficiation. Froth Flotation Beneficiation process is one of the important processes in the application of ore dressing, and it is widely used. Froth Flotation Beneficiation is widely used in copper, nickel ore, iron ore, gold ore, lead and zinc ore, potassium feldspar, graphite and other metal and non-metal ore concentrate selection, with high efficiency, low energy, high handling capacity,
The flotation results clearly suggested that iron ore concentrate assaying 67 Fe and 2 SiO2 amp A1203 could be obtained with a recovery of 85-90 by single stage column operation. Better quality of concentrate by flotation column could be attributed to deeper froth bed and wash water addition.
Apr 01, 1983 CONCLUSIONS Flotation is a very efficient means of beneficiation of iron ores and competitive with the magnetic routes. As long as the desired concentrates are 202 of a mediumgrade and the mineralization is not too fine and composed of magnetite or hematite in a clean siliceous gangue, the magnetic separation process can remove the iron either at low or high intensity.
Froth flotation will remain a key unit process for the treatment of iron ores for the decades to come with the overarching challenge best described as being the need to modify and improve existing procedures and processing conditions so as to maintain an acceptable iron grade-recovery response in the face of ores and feedstock that will be finer, more complex, lower in grade, more goethitic in nature, and higher in deleterious impurities.
Jan 02, 2012 In the reverse flotation of iron ores, froth washing was found effective in reducing the loss of FINE iron oxide particles to froth. It was reported that the cost of installing a column flotation circuit is approximately 25 - 40 less than an equivalent flotation

The slurry is diluted and passed to flotation cells. The carbon particles float on the surface of the slurry and the iron oxide particles and other gangue particles do not float atop the slurry....
